Doutzen Kroes Vogue Netherlands September 2024

We absolutely live for modeling comebacks here at theFashionSpot. Whether it’s Daria Werbowy staging a mini comeback in a Gucci campaign or Linda Evangelista having a massive resurgence within the industry – we’ll take it. Doutzen Kroes is the latest to stage somewhat of a comeback. First came a cover of D la Repubblica earlier this year, in addition to Doutzen closing out Chemena Kamali‘s debut Chloé collection during the recent Fall 2024 season of Paris Fashion Week. Now, the Dutch beauty cements her comeback by making an appearance on the September 2024 cover of Vogue Netherlands. Shot on location on the island of Ibiza, Doutzen gazes down the lens of photographer Lachlan Bailey. Doutzen (who began her modeling career in 2003) is styled by Geraldine Saglio and sports an oversized faux fur Dsquared2 hat in the cover shot.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“LOVE HER and LOVE the cover!” immediately exclaimed BalkaniStaCouture.

“Great cover, quite impactful. I love the gaze and the hat she’s wearing,” Srdjan admired.

“One of my most favorite of the September covers this year, without a shadow of a doubt. Massively here for the comeback of Doutzen Kroes. The fact Lachlan Bailey photographed this and Geraldine Saglio styled the shoot is just an added bonus. Absolutely love the cover shot, love the colors, the minimal art direction and the Dsquared2 hat,” raved vogue28.

“I am immensely happy to see Doutzen again and on a beautiful cover! She is a COVER GIRL and I want more Vogue covers with her,” DK92 shared.

Not everyone, however, was so forthcoming. “Absolutely abysmal,” described lanvinray.

“It has been ages since Doutzen Kroes has done something interesting as a model. Always the same face and that ‘Mother Earth’ styling bullsh*t,” avonlea002 critiqued.
