Versace Fall 2024 Ad Campaign

Donatella Versace remains loyal to Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott. After all, the legendary Italian designer has regularly called upon the photographic duo to lens Versace’s advertising campaigns since the Spring 2020 season (starring Jennifer Lopez and Kendall Jenner). The creative twosome are unsurprisingly welcomed back to shoot their ninth consecutive mainline campaign for Fall 2024. This season, Donatella opted to keep Loli Bahia on the books, who is joined by Vittoria Ceretti (and a handful of male models). The team (including stylist Jacob K) ventured outside of the studio to pay a visit to Los Angeles’ famous Chateau Marmont. Throughout the campaign imagery, the girls roam suites and corridors of the historic hotel, with Mert & Marcus both snapping away to capture each and every moment.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“Oh wow this is so bad,” immediately shared MDNA. “Even show backstage images nowadays look better than this, and the sofa is such an eyesore.”

“Well, AWFUL! Imagine going to Chateau Marmont and the result looking like you’re in any ordinary person’s living room with an old sofa full of dust,” critiqued DK92.

“They literally could’ve shot this anywhere instead of wasting money flying everyone to LA,” noted br3ncon1.

GoldenPetals wasn’t best impressed either. “I like using penthouses or tights corridors as a backdrop but this is just lazy,” they wrote. “I miss how CINEMATIC fashion photography used to be.”

“Vittoria couldn’t save this campaign. That’s how you know it’s bad,” complained fenty.

“Why are campaigns this bad these days? I just don’t get it,” forum member Creative cried out.
