11 Chic Marks & Spencer Autumn Buys Will Be Gone By October 1st

You can’t see me right now, but I’m currently sitting looking at my screen mouth ajar and eyes wide, while my hand, upon instinct, reaches into my handbag and grabs my card holder. This is precisely the scene that unfolded when I embarked on a scroll of Marks & Spencer’s new-in section. I’ve long been a fan of the high-street brand and often find myself perusing its website (and, if I’m in central, it’s bricks and mortar stores) when I find myself in need of a new wardrobe addition.

Generally very classic in aesthetic and with a quality that outdoes many other brands in a similar price bracket, it’s become a reliable place for me to stock up on staples and, on occasion, the odd statement piece that catches my eye. Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it, for 2024, Marks & Spencer’s autumn collection is the strongest I’ve ever seen from the brand. The negative part? I could see myself spending a lot of money here this season. The positive? There’s just so many expensive-looking, deeply chic pieces to choose from!

Tapping into some of the biggest trend of the season, albeit in a very considered way, Marks & Spencer’s autumn shopping compromises of a medley of aesthetic-defining pieces—think scarf coats, jumbo suede totes, and leather separates—but also pieces that none of us can live without in the colder months. Think cosy knitwear, easy tailoring and throw-on dresses. Striking the perfect balance between delivering essentials but also items that will make you look supremely stylish, too, I think M&S has single-handedly mastered the art of creating the perfect autumn capsule wardrobe.
